A Contradictory Girl

Hi Everyone...

(Okay, so its probably just more like "Hi Mom" since she's the only person I could convince to check this out... embarrassing.)

None the less, if your eyes have managed to flit across these sentences, you have some how ended up in the middle of super tangled mind... but I don't want to get into all that without a proper introduction so....

Hi you! My name is Hannah and I'm so happy that you have landed here on my blog. It started with a suggestion from one of my good friends from high school who blogs on Five Times the Fun with her sister. (fivetimesfun.blogspot.com) I have always loved to write and try new things, so Wildly Domestic has become my place to explore all of the ideas that run around my head and make me the crazy girl many of you know.

I guess we can get straight down to business and answer the question thats been nagging you ever since you clicked the link to come here: what the heck is wildly domestic and why did I name my blog that? There's not really a better way to explain it aside from the fact that I'm just a girl full of contradictions. Every day I feel like my heart is pulled in a hundred directions: a preppy sorority girl or a wild child who still likes to play in the mud and swim in the creek, a health nut or a girl who can put away a few brownies, a hard core cross-fitter or someone who likes to color coordinate her gym shoes to her head band, a girl who is outgoing and social or a bookworm who values her education above all else. I guess I've just had a tough time deciding what kind of girl I'm supposed to be

Up until this year, my solution was to choose one personality type, just fit in my "prescribed" niche of society and not deviate from it. But after living by myself for a summer semester and having time to search my heart and figure out who I was, I realized that picking one... well that's not my style at all! Each aspect of my personality contributes to who I am as a person and how I view the world around me. I am interested and entertained by so many things: crafting, baking, working out, reading, decorating, building things, shopping.... you name it, I probably want to take a class on it. My heart is Wildly Domestic, a little bit of sweet and a little bit of sass, and I'm willing to bet that a lot of you feel the same way.

My greatest hope for this blog is that you will find something on here that inspires you or makes you laugh or maybe just provides a little bit of comfort that you're not the only one who feels out of place sometimes. Expect to find lots of posts about everything from crafting and decorating to my newest health kick or hunting experience.

I can't say thank you enough for taking the time to read this (if you made it this far) and I hope to see y'all back here soon!
